Doggie Soap and Balm

I LOVE dogs!!
My chihuahua who has terribly dry skin at the base of his tail come
wintertime started flaking again this summer, I thought I'd do my research and make
a bar for him. Granted he still doesn't like baths, but the bar sure has helped with
those dry itchy spots.
This bar is for moisturizing those dry little patches and I also added some
gentle essential oils to help clear up any trouble spots!
Shea Butter, Honey, Coconut Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Castor Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Colloidal Oatmeal, Organic Powdered Goats Milk, Thyme, Peppermint Essential Oil (helps to keep the fleas away), Lavender Essential Oil, Patchouli Essential Oil, Garlic (helps to keep the fleas away) natural
coloring.
Poochie Shampoo Bars are about 1.30 ounces. $1.35
Colloidal Oatmeal: Acts as a binding agent. This binding helps
moisturize and soften skin, as well as help protect it. The oatmeal
also has anti-inflammatory properties.
Grape Seed Oil: Is a preferred ingredient for damaged and stressed
tissues, possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which
helps to keep moisture regulated. It can help skin retain the normal structure of
epithelium cells and nerve cells via supporting the cell membranes.
Thyme: One of the most useful factors of this herb is its antiseptic
qualities. One of the components in Thyme is Thymol. Thymol is an
antiseptic and disinfectant. Thymol has proven effective in the
treatment of wounds.
Patchouli Essential Oil: Said to be anti-inflammatory and
an antiseptic also, a mild insect repellent.
Lavender Essential Oil: A good all around healing oil, along with
being a strong antiseptic and muscle soother it’s good for helping to heal minor
cuts and skin problems.
Doggie Balm
I have to talk about this balm as my youngest baby Boo developed Poochie Mange. Yes I know that sounds bad, however Boo (not the
chihuahua) hates fleas, the poor little guy will bite himself silly trying to kill them.
This last time was particularly bad, and while my favorite flea drops killed those
nasty little things, he was still biting at himself so badly he developed what looked like
Mange, red spots everywhere, missing patches of hair, it was awful! I continue to
use this on his back from time to time and it keeps his fur all nice and thick, it also controls his biting fits! Let me tell you how happy Boo is to not be chewing like a fiend
every couple of minutes!!!
Beeswax, Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil, Apricot Oil, Patchouli Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil
Poochie Balm is approx. 1 ounce. $3.00
Patchouli Essential Oil: Anti-inflammatory, Astringent, it even helps heal cuts and wounds and speeds
up the fading of scars.
Lavender Essential Oil: Used for Centuries Lavender Oil, soothes and heals irritated skin, antibacterial and calms tension. Helps to heal many different types of skin ailments The nourishing properties of Apricot oil, is easily absorbed.
Our bars contain no artificial coloring, non allergenic, are quite lick-able and
absorbs into poochie's skin quickly.
A reminder here, these bars are for DOGS only, cats have a different nervous
system than dogs and some of the oils used here can be fatal at the extreme! Never
use these bars on any other pets except for dogs, I can't stress this enough! Last
thing here also, if you do have other pets in the house, make sure to wash your hands
well after using.
