Our Ingredients:
Sodium Carbonate: Is a sodium salt of carbonic acid. It most commonly occurs
as a crystalline. It is synthetically produced in large quantities from table salt and a
common additive in municipal pools used to neutralize the acidic effects of chlorine
and raise the PH. In domestic use, it is used as a water softener during
laundry, it effectively removes oil, grease and alcohol stains. It is one
of the components of KANSUI, a solution of alkaline salts used to give RAMEN
Noodles their characteristic flavor and texture.
Sodium Borate: Is a mineral, occurring naturally in deposits
produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes. It and other borates clean
and bleach by converting some water molecules to hydrogen peroxide. The
boron, salt inhibit the metabolic processes of many organisms. This characteristic
allows Sodium Borate to disinfect and kill unwanted bacteria. Borates bond
with other particles to enhance their cleaning power.
Sodium Tallowate: Is made from sodium hydroxide(better known as lye), steam,
and tallow. This process, called saponification, breaks down the tallow, frees the
glycerol and produces a sodium salt called Tallowate.
Our Almost Green Laundry Soap is safe to use in top loading and front loading
machines. 4oz for a regular large load and 8oz for a large heavily soiled load.
4oz is recommended for front loading machines on a heavy load, 2oz for a regular
load.
