Tarpon Springs Sea Sponges
Sea Wool Sponges are so durable! I've heard they can last over 5 years or more with normal
care. Did you know that they inhibit the growth of bacteria? It's true, not like a regular washcloth
that harbors tons of germs.
All of our Sea Wool Sponges come from beautiful Tarpon Springs Florida, I know a diver
that delivers them directly to me. Tarpon Springs is know to be the world's most productive area
for sea sponge diving. All of our wool sponges are from 4" and up, no small sponges here! As
you can see, we've left our wool sponges unbleached, preferring to leave them in their natural
brown state, as I believe the bleaching while ascetically appealing also tends to break down the
fibers of the sponge itself.
- Aside from washing our sea sponges have a variety of uses!
- The natural holes
provide a perfect resting place for toothbrushes.
- Cut the sponge apart, scoop out some of our wonderfully moisturizing sugar scrub and
you've got an instant pedi
- Slide a small rope though the holes, knot at both ends and you've got the perfect back
scrubber
